I`m NOT trying to be negative here. But I used to be one of those pretty boys in this film. I never had a problem picking up guys, even chance encounters. I`m 60 years old now, and the gay life is NONEXISTENT. Yeah, I put on a few pounds, but age takes it`s toll. The problem is, I don`t want men my age, I want younger guys ( good luck with that ). I just want to tell gay people that if you are not settled in committed relationship, Your chances of getting a guy like in this film......0%.....and time goes fast after 30. Yes, it`s depressing as hell. I just want to tell the gay guys to try and form healthy friendships in your later years and find someone you are compatible with and live with them. It`s better than being alone like me. I got so much sex when I was young, I was turning some guys down( NOW I REGRET IT ) I failed to form relationships in my later years because of family obligations and having to move to different cities ( had to take care of my ailing mother) which was fine. Please think of what I just wrote, prepare yourself. I never thought I would get old, it happened so fast and the being alone part is the worst. In 2011, I looked pretty good. I went to Greece Islands and hooked up with younger Italian from Milan and a Greek, but that was 11 years ago. I don`t look the same.
Most of what you have written is true and the life story of more than we could think of. I did not enjoy the success you had with guys when I was younger, but I did have my share which was never enough. And I did the same mistake by not looking for a serious partner for life and giving priority to other things always. Now I am 55, but not at all unhappy, depressed or lonely, but yes, I would have loved to have someone to count on for my later years, as we never know what awaits us in the third stage of life. Your advice will surely help guys who still have time. Thank you.
